Glenn W. Soden, Of Counsel

Glenn joined McCarthy Law Offices in 2012 and serves Of Counsel to the firm. He advises clients on small business and corporate governance issues.

In addition to the practice of law, Glenn enjoys teaching and is an Adjunct Faculty Instructor in Ohio Dominican University’s MBA program where he teaches courses on Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility, Conflict Management and Negotiation Strategies for Leaders, and Organizational Behavior and Leadership.


Glenn spent over 30 years at Nationwide Insurance and Financial Services Companies in Columbus serving in a variety of roles including Commercial Claims Attorney, Director of Government Affairs, Customer Relations Officer and finally as Associate Vice President-Corporate Governance and Assistant Secretary, Office of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He retired from this position in 2007.


Glenn received his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Westminster College. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio and New Jersey. Glenn is Past President, International Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals in Business (SOCAP) and was formerly on the Boards of Directors of the Insurance Guaranty Associations of Connecticut, Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia.

Community Involvement

Glenn is committed to community service and is a longtime volunteer counselor for the Small Business Administration’s SCORE program. He also served as a member of the Community Advisory Board of the Central Ohio Transit Authority.
